Celebrate China’s Dragon Boat Festival with “Jiaxing Zongzi” at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant
China’s famous Dragon Boat Festival returns this June, and Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is celebrating this colorful annual occasion with an exciting new culinary promotion at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant.
From 1 to 15 June 2021, hotel guests and local residents can savour “Jiaxing Zongzi”, the traditional dish of the Dragon Boat Festival. Filled with sticky rice and a choice of sweet or savory fillings, then wrapped in lotus leaves.
These handcrafted delicacies are available in three different flavors. The premium meat option includes pork belly, dried shrimp, dried scallop, pork sausage, mushroom, salted egg, mung beans and red beans, while the vegetarian version is filled with chestnuts, mung beans, red beans, dried mushroom, Job’s tears and gingko nuts. The sweet variety features taro paste, chestnuts, mung beans, red beans, Chinese jujube and Job’s tears. Can’t decide which to choose? A box of three lets you sample one of each!
The Jiaxing Zongzi promotion at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant is available for lunch, dinner and takeaway. The meat-filled version is priced at THB 248 net per piece, the vegetarian variety is available for THB 168 net per piece, and the sweet option can be enjoyed for THB 128 net per piece. A box of three can be purchased for THB 768.
