NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF TAKES OVER CULINARY HELMS AT SO SOFITEL HUA HIN
NEW SIGNATURE DISHES SERVE UP AN INTRODUCTION OF
CHEF TOBIAS SCHWARZENDORFER
There’s something exciting cooking at SO Sofitel Hua Hin, and it’s all thanks to the resort’s newly appointed Executive Chef Tobias Schwarzendorfer.
Prior to landing at SO Sofitel Hua Hin, Chef Tobias worked in a number of hotel restaurants in Thailand and before that, in his native Austria, including with award-winning chef Antoine Westermann of Le Buerehiesel three-MICHELIN starred fame.
During his 15 years of extensive kitchen experience, the seasoned chef has gained in-depth knowledge on a variety of cooking methods and national cuisines.
“I look forward to showcasing my culinary style of marrying traditional ways of cooking with the latest techniques to create familiar comfort food with inventive flair.” said Tobias Schwarzendorfer, Executive Chef of SO Sofitel Hua Hin.
The experimental combination of ingredients and preparations have always inspired Chef Tobias, and to showcase his culinary creativity, he has created three signature dishes on offer SO Sofitel Hua Hin.
A French classic meets Thai Asian flavors in Foie Gras (THB 630++), which combines sweet caramelized mango and tangy 5 spice jus with melt-in-your-mouth pan-seared foie gras, served with toasted brioche and cashew nut crocant.
The light summer dish of Sea Bass (THB 590++) is Chef Tobias’s spin on the classic surf & turf dish, in which a tender piece of seabass is presented with the saltiness of chorizo paired delightfully with lemon cauliflower cream.
The final dish, Beef Cheek (THB 530++) emphasizes the juiciness of the meat combined with truffle celeriac cream, baby spinach and glazed carrot.
Chef Tobias’s signature dishes are served at Beach Society, SO Sofitel Hua Hin throughout October and November 2020.
