Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin celebrates Mother’s Day with iconic dishes from the past decade
Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin reopens its doors on Wednesday, 12 August to celebrate Mother’s Day in Thailand with a fabulous selection of the most popular and iconic dishes from the past decade.
The Michelin one-star restaurant is staging an extended celebration, from 12 to 16 August, for Mother’s Day and then opens every Friday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
“We have selected 12 August, one of the most important days of celebration in the Thai calendar, as an appropriate date to remind diners about some of our most popular and iconic dishes,” explained Senior Head Chef Berm Chayawee Sutcharitchan.
“We offer a choice of four, six and eight-course set menus with tempting dishes that have, over the past decade, impressed repeatedly our local and international clientele as well as the Michelin Guide assessors and judges in many other restaurant awards programmes,” added Chef Berm Chayawee.
Iconic dishes presented from 12 August include yellow curry crab meat with corn; Maine lobster salad with frozen red curry; foie gras with ginger and plum wine; and slow-cooked Wagyu beef in a homemade oyster sauce.
“We are very excited to offer once again a very special Michelin-star dining experience at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin. Of course, we continue to deliver all food and beverage services using the renowned Kempinski White Glove Services, and we are maintaining the highest possible standards of health and safety in our kitchens, restaurants and public areas,” said Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok Managing Director Richard Schestak. “Importantly, we remain committed to creating modern Thai cuisine with authentic ingredients based upon traditional recipes and produced using modern cooking techniques. We continue to be inspired by the knowledge and expertise of Chef Henrik Yde Anderson from Kiin Kiin restaurant in Copenhagen, and we look forward to welcoming Chef Henrik back to Bangkok when travel restrictions are lifted, so that we may prepare our exciting seasonal menus for 2021.”
All mums enjoying the Mother’s Day lunch at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin on Wednesday, 12 August receive a surprise hand-garland. At dinner, each mum receives a floral gift box and some chocolate.
A deposit is required with every booking, and this must be paid at least 48 hours in advance (no later than Monday, 10 August).
The set menus are priced as follows: Four courses – THB 1,850++; Six courses – THB 2,600++; and Eight courses – THB 3,200++. (See attached menus.)
Additional wine pairings are priced as follows: Four courses – THB 1,200++; Six courses – THB 1,800++; and Eight courses – THB 2,300++. (See attached menus.)
Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin is available from 12:00 noon to 15:00 hrs (last orders at 13:30 hrs), with dinner from 18:00 to 22:30 (last orders at 21:00 hrs) from 12 to 16 August, for Mother’s Day, and then opens every Friday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located on the lobby floor of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.
