Char Restaurant at Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road is excited to offer Honshu spider crab specialties for limited time in September. From September 14 to 28, diners can indulge in a three-part serving of this Japanese delicacy.
On the main island of Honshu, located south of Hokkaido, fishermen catch the impressive spider crabs in Suruga Bay, just southwest of Tokyo. With leg spans that can reach up to 5.5 meters and bodies that have been measured 40 cm across, spider crabs are a sought-after delicacy throughout Japan, with September being the best time of year for the highest quality and size.
Char Restaurant has obtained a succulent selection of spider crabs to tempt diners from September 14 to 28, with reservations available from 6 pm to midnight. This three-dish feast will feature every part of the spider crab, starting with crab tartare served with ginger and cauliflower vichyssoise, followed by butter-poached crab with smoked seaweed and light sea crisps, and ending with grilled crab legs dressed in caramelized crab fat along with crab XO.
