On 27 September 2018, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok celebrates its eighth anniversary of providing unrivalled comfort and luxury to guests with a traditional Thai classical masked dance based upon Ramayana (known as Ramakien Epic).
Hotel guests and visitors are invited to enjoy the remarkable performance of an episode from Ramayana Epic by members of the Fine Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture. “Khon” performance will take place in the lavish setting of the hotel’s spacious lobby on Thursday, 27 September 2018 from 18:00 hrs.
“The hotel opened its door to guests for the first time on 27 September 2010 and this year we are delighted to be celebrating our eighth anniversary. It is another very important year for us. Thailand with its unique culture is incredible and amazing and, because of that, we want to portray Thailand and Thai culture through our celebrations,” said hotel General Manager Alex Pichel. “We are thrilled to share these incredible performances with our guests. The anniversary celebrations continue for eight days from 27 September to 4 October 2018, at the hotel’s lavish lobby, restaurants and spa. The daily festivities include live craftsmanship demonstrations in the lobby where guests and visitors will learn about Thai fruit carving, Thai hand garlands and the traditional lookchoop Thai dessert.
Nightly performances of “Khim,” a classical Thai stringed musical instrument take place in the lobby from 17:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs.

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is unveiling a new-look week-end Afternoon Tea concept as part of the hotel’s magnificent eighth anniversary celebrations this September.
The new sophisticated and state-of-the-art “Afternoon Tea Reimagined” expands this popular English tradition by offering a more substantial selection of savoury and sweet items that are served course by course, rather than as a one-time tea set on the table. “We wanted to upgrade and redefine our afternoon tea experience by adding even more elegance and sophistication. Our new week-end afternoon tea is a beautiful orchestration of five set courses served by our staff,” explained Executive Chef Stefan Trepp. “We have given this concept considerable thought and we have taken great care to create a balanced menu that offers variety, value, quality and enjoyment.”
“Afternoon Tea Reimagined” crafted by Kempinski is a spectacular culinary journey presented in the elegant setting of the hotel’s grand lobby and Hanuman Bar. The five-course afternoon tea consists of canapés, sandwiches, scones, mini éclairs and mignardises. The canapés include rice cracker with marinated duck, massaman peanut butter and sweet Thai garlic; crispy Thai tea roll; and mini honey with lime matcha cone. The finely-cut sandwiches include smoked salmon and crab rillettes with horseradish butter and lemon, pickled cucumber served with blinis and pumpernickel; and BBQ pork steamed bao with cilantro mayo.
The pastries and delicate desserts include freshly baked scones served with raspberry preserves, passion fruit curd and clotted cream; a selection of mini éclairs including passion

A “Mesmerising Journey” celebrates Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin’s 8 th anniversary
Award-winning Micheline one-star Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a special set menu that features eight of the most popular dishes served since the restaurant’s doors first opened in 2010. The exclusive set dinner will be available from 27 September to 4 October 2018.
“This is an important anniversary for our restaurant and for Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Eight is a very auspicious number as it represents ‘eternity’ and I wanted to showcase our eight best and most popular dishes since we opened in 2010,” said Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin Head Chef Chayawee Sutcharitchan. “I am sure that this specially-crafted eight-course set dinner, which we call ‘Mesmerising Journey,’ will satisfy regular guests and new patrons.”
The menu includes laksa-based crab on crab cornetto served with grilled squid and oyster tempura with misomayo-coco; Pad Thai shrimp noodle with tamarind and lemongrass; all-time favourite Maine lobster salad frozen red curry, and foie gras with ginger and plum wine. The set dinner concludes perfectly with Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin’s beautiful and delicate “flower shop.”

“The Magnificent Dinner Buffet” at Brasserie Europa
Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is celebrating its eighth anniversary with special Thai dishes as part of the extensive international dinner buffet at Brasserie Europa. This celebration “Magnificent Thai Dinner Buffet” is available on 27 September to 4 October from 18:30 hrs. to 22:30 hrs. with “Thai food corners” featuring some of the nation’s favourite dishes.
These dishes include nam prik (name prik ka-pi, nam prik goong-siab and nam prik noom); miang-kham (betel leaves with roasted coconut, shallot, ginger, garlic, chili and dired shrimps); kanom-jeen station (ferment-noodle with curry and condiments), and khao soi station (egg noodles with chicken in Thai coconut curry and condiments).
Brasserie Europa is also offering Thai “family-style on the table” dining choices which include gai-yang (grilled marinated chicken with sweet and sour sauce); kor-moo-yang (charcoal grilled marinated pork neck served with spicy dipping sauce), and Australian striploin.
Brasserie Europa’s renowned á la carte main courses, cooked á la minute and served at each table, include beef massaman (southern Thai braised beef curry with peanuts, potatoes and onions); kai-pla-muek-tod (stir-fried squid roe with cabbage); phad thai (fried flat noodles with prawns, bean sprouts and peanuts), and a special daily pass-around main course dish.
Additional food stations include all-time favourite seafood on-ice with rock lobster, mussels, white prawns and baby scallops; a Thai raw bar with a selection of white shrimps, oysters and salmon, and Som Tam (papaya salad with sticky rice).
Every dinner at Brasserie Europa ends memorably with a marvellous dessert. Highlighted desserts include Thai traditional ice-creams and condiments; nam kang sai (Thai shaved iced served with variety of toppings); roti sai mai (cotton candy wrapped in a sweet roti); tub tim krob (water chestnuts in coconut milk) and assorted Thai sweets.
